Working collaboratively, the LHINs and HQO have established Regional Quality Tables in 10 of the 14 LHINs over the past 18 months. Regional Quality Tables bring together clinical, patient and administrative perspectives to lead the implementation of system-wide quality initiatives within each LHIN region. They are action-focused and aim to build capacity for quality at a local level. Regional Quality Tables also align provincial and local quality initiatives with an overall goal of creating and maturing cultures of quality across the healthcare system, with the Clinical Quality Lead from each Table sitting on the Provincial Quality Implementation Advisory Body.
Each Quality Table has unique members and goals. To showcase these, we are beginning a series of Spotlight posts on the Regional Quality Tables, beginning with a profile on Erie St. Clair’s Table which you can find here.
