The focus of the Delirium Aware Safer Healthcare (DASH) Campaign is to lead Ontario hospitals in the
vital mission of preventing hospital-acquired delirium. The aim is to leverage
the collective knowledge and dedication of clinicians and staff across Ontario
to contribute to a collaborative ecosystem that is actively working to achieve
lower rates of hospital-acquired delirium. The 3-year vision for the DASH
Campaign is to promote awareness and to strengthen the ability of hospital
teams across Ontario to prevent, identify, and manage hospital-acquired
delirium.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Connect the importance of reducing hospital-acquired
delirium to provincial priorities, including alternate-level-of-care throughput
and access and flow
- Describe what to expect from the DASH campaign over the next
12 months
- Understand the level of participation required to be
successful
- Execute the critical first steps of planning for an
improvement guided by quality improvement science and methodology
New DASH Implementation Toolkit
