The Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Community of Practice is hosting its next webinar on Wednesday, January 21 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
The session will focus on Early Success and Solution Sharing With Newly Funded Dedicated SCD Centers and will discuss strategies for success based on Dedicated SCD Centre’s experiences supporting SCD quality standard implementation from Health Sciences North and Trillium Health Partners. Additionally, this session will provide recommendations and guidance that other newly funded centres could learn from.

Black History Month Event - February 25th
In honour of Black History Month, we will be hosting a learning session on February 25 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. focused on Psychological Health and Psychosocial Supports for People Living with SCD, which has been shown to have racially disparate impacts.
In this session, Dr. Lance Archer and Sinthu Srikanthan will discuss strategies for supporting SCD quality standard implementation. Additionally, they provide recommendations and guidance to implement similar approaches related to psychological health and psychosocial support for people living with SCD.
