At Ontario Health, the Patient Safety team continues their efforts in pressure injury prevention and supporting the Pressure Injury Quality Standard Community of Practice.
To further support organizations in their pressure injuries prevention journey, we are pleased to share that the Pressure Injuries Quality Standard eReport is now available.
The pressure injury eReport is an interactive dashboard that captures the of hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPI). The report supports quality improvement for wound care as part of the Pressure Injuries Quality Standard 5-year update and was developed in close collaboration with the Patient Safety Program. Hospitals can use this eReport to explore HAPI rates at the provincial, regional and hospital level. The eReport includes stratifications such as fiscal year, sex, age group, stage and palliative versus non-palliative patients.
The eReport is available externally (for hospitals) via the eReport portal.
The eReport will be updated in July to include FY 2025/26 data.
An information session will be held on June 16, 2026, for members of the Pressure Injury Quality Standard Community of Practice.
