We’re excited to invite you to Ontario Health’s inaugural learning session for the Menopause Quality Standard Community of Practice on Tuesday, November 18, from 12 p.m. to 1p.m. ET.
Featured speaker: Dr. Ardelle Piper, obstetrician-gynecologist and menopause specialist in Ottawa, Ontario. Her practice focuses on her fellowship training in midlife women's health and provides consultation to women across Ontario through video telemedicine. Her special interest in patient education and team-based medicine has led to expansion of her online clinic, and development of web-based education and tools.
At this interactive session, clinicians and health care teams will:
- Gain a clear understanding of the new Menopause quality standard, including the quality statements and accompanying resources
- Learn how to use the quality standard to improve care for women and gender-diverse people experiencing perimenopause or menopause, particularly in primary care settings
- Explore the historical context that has influenced menopause care and how clinicians can support a shift toward evidence-based care
