Setting your improvement targets:
- For some indicators, the QIP provides pre-populated data for your organization to act as a signal for initiating improvement work. We encourage you to set targets to improve based on pre-populated data provided to inspire your teams and share your goals with your community.
- Avoid setting targets to worsen (retrograde) targets in your QIP. Don’t forget that the ‘target justification’ box is an important tool to explain targets set by your organization.
Validating and submitting your QIP:
- To submit your QIP, click the “validate” button, at which time the Navigator platform will check for any errors or omissions. Once all mandatory fields are completed, a sign-off box will appear, and you will be prompted to input the names and email addresses of the parties signing off on your organization’s QIP.
- Once you click the “Submit” button on this page, your QIP will be sent to Ontario Health.
- Please note that once the submit button has been used, your QIP will be locked, and no further changes will be made.
The QIP team will continue to offer weekly drop-in sessions where one of our QI specialists will be available to answer any questions you may have.
