Learn practical, clinically sound ways to choose lower-impact OTCs for common conditions such as pain, heartburn, and supplements, while recognizing where an OTC product should not be recommended. Participants will also learn how to counsel on safe disposal. Cases will span across family medicine, pharmacy, and inpatient care.
The session will also equip attendees with a concise 30-second counselling script covering safe use, appropriate pack size and formulation, and proper medication disposal. Finally, participants will be guided in planning a concrete, sustainability-focused practice change within their own setting and identifying a simple metric to evaluate its impact.
