Our team at Ontario Health is in the midst of our QIP analysis process, and we are excitedly
learning about some of the amazing quality improvement efforts your organizations
are prioritizing for FY 2024/2025.
From April to June your organizations have
been testing out your proposed change ideas to assess which ones work and which
ones may need to be adjusted.
During this implementation phase, there are
many tools which may help your organization understand why a change idea may
not be working as intended, and how to sustain the impact of those ideas that
are effective.
Ontario Health has recently updated our
quality improvement tools and resources on
Quorum
here.
You’ll be able to find tools like:
- The Plan-Do-Study-Act
cycle which allows a team to create new knowledge by conducting small tests of
change with a minimum of risk and builds confidence in the impact of the
changes proposed.
- The Implementing
and Sustaining Changes Guide
which provides strategies for the successful
implementation and sustainability of improvement efforts. It also describes the
application of implementation science to strengthen implementation efforts and
the sustainability of changes made.
These resources accessible on Quorum are
aligned with Ontario Health’s Integrated Quality Framework, which guides the
work of Ontario Health to support the delivery of high-quality health care
across the province.
If your team would like any assistance or
guidance with testing and implementing change ideas, please email us at

senior specialists will be in touch.
