William Osler Health System performs surgical hip fracture repair at both Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General sites. The acute average length of stay (ALOS) was well above the QBP target. Patients who were being discharged to inpatient rehabilitation, reactivation and /or required management of complex medical co morbidities had the longest ALOS. Our goal was to reduce ALOS.
