We launched the Quorum community just over two years ago to support people working to improve health care quality in Ontario.
Today, with over 4500 members representing all sectors and regions across Ontario and beyond, we remain steadfast in our goal to collaborate with each other, share our experiences, and support innovation from idea inception through to meaningful improvement.
To better support this goal, we’ve launched two new sections on Quorum:
- QI Tools & Resources
- Indicators & Change Ideas
Read on for an introduction to these new sections.
QI Tools & Resources
We know that some of us are more experienced than others when it comes to quality improvement (QI), especially around QI methodologies and terminology.
Our new QI Tools & Resources section aims to get everyone on the same page, speaking the same language.
Get started with our QI essentials and learn about the science behind QI, how to form a QI team, and how to manage change.
When you’re ready to take on a QI project at your organization, read about key activities for each step in the QI process:
- Learn how to partner with patients and providers to identify a problem, understand the current state of the process, and identify the root causes of the problem under Understand the problem
- Begin to design and test change ideas using the guides and tools under Design and test ideas
- Find tools to help implement successful change ideas into practice under Implement and sustain changes
- Read about how to spread change to other units or departments under Spread changes
Indicators & Change Ideas
Increasingly, we hear about the desire for more implementation support for QI initiatives. All of us want to know: who’s done what, what worked, and what didn’t?
The new Indicators & Change Ideas section aims to bring the Quorum community together around priority issues and indicators advanced through Ontario’s mandated quality improvement plans. Visit this section to find high-quality, evidence-informed information about indicators, including change ideas and resources to support their implementation.
Collaboration continues to motivate how the community is designed, and as a member-driven community, we want to continue to hear from you. All of our new pages include space for members to provide feedback, contribute their knowledge, or ask questions. We encourage you to contribute to this discussion.
By working together, we can achieve more than any one person or organization could alone. Thank you for being a part of the Quorum community!
