Up to 10% women undergo breast cancer screening require diagnostic assessment through a Breast Assessment Program. However, these clients are not meeting the provincial diagnostic assessment wait time target. Better integration across the patient journey would result in reduced wait time for breast cancer diagnosis, and improved efficiency & patient centredness leading to cost savings.
