This community of practice is for the Ontario Health regions working on the development and implementation of Health Human Resources (HHR) retention practices and lessons learned in order to improve HHR retention within and across sectors and the health system partners they engage. It also brings together internal HHR champions who can share information, resources and tools. <br/><br/>CoP members will gain access to: <br/>• Retention practices, tools and information from regions across Ontario<br/>• Lessons learned from practice implementors<br/>• Champions and stakeholders with subject matter expertise <br/>• Curated resources <br/><br/>The CoP will be facilitated through: <br/>• This online space to connect members with one another, and to encourage interaction with information, resources, and tools <br/>• Regular touchpoints<br/>• Presentations from topic experts<br/><br/>CoP members will share resources, implementation challenges and strategies, and problem solve together to support HHR retention regionally. <br/><br/>This CoP is supported by the Office of the Chief Clinical Executives Team at Ontario Health who will be working with the membership and external experts to curate content, tools and resources.<br/><br/>The CoP is facilitated by Lindsey Thompson, Lead, Office of the Chief Clinical Executives.   • Gillian Strudwick@Ivan Yuen We found that CAMH clients wanted to have a choice in the way that they were identified during the medication administration process. There were many reasons for clients wanting to select a certain form of identification over another (many we had not thought of previously). We did have to change how we implemented the scanning technology by allowing for multiple ways that a patient could be identified, and not just relying on the barcoded hospital wristband. We also had to identify a solution that allowed us to take a photo of a client and associate this with their barcode. We also needed to create a process for clients who wanted to provide photo identification that they already had. All of this was required to be communicated to staff. In addition, we identified that clients wanted to know more about the scanning process, so we created educational materials for our clients.6 years ago
